Should Your Face Mask Make an Appearance in Your Headshot Session
Headshots might look a lot different this year.
Whether you need a new photo for LinkedIn or you need personal branding shots for your new business, you may consider wearing your face mask in a few shots!
Being realistic, the next year or so we are likely to continue to see everyone behind their masks. So why not have a few shots with you wearing one? In its essence, both personal branding and traditional headshots are done to show people who you are.
Plus, you have the added bonus of being able to show that you are COVID safe through just one image!
How can you wear a mask but make it look cool you ask?
Let’s break it down –
- Find a cute mask that matches your outfit OR find a mask that works as a statement accessory
- Save the mask for your close-up! As important as it is to have your whole person in a few shots, with a mask on we really want to focus on your face. (There is also the added bonus here of keeping you and your photographer that little bit safer while they possibly get closer to you)
- Practice your “smeyezing”! Your eyes are gorgeous, this is their time to SHINE!
