FAQ

Sessions typically do not last longer than an hour. That being said, I recommend blocking out 2.5 hours of your day for the shoot. If we are in a busy area or we have an outfit change planned, it may take us a bit longer than expected to shoot. That being said, don’t be surprised if we wrap up early! The goal is to be mindful and aware of the time we have together. When we book your session we will chat a bit more about the timeline.

Your deposit locks in your photoshoot date & time. If you cancel last minute, I most likely would have been able to book someone else during this time period. I do not write anything down in my calendar until the deposit has been paid and the contract has been signed, making your ideal spot up for grabs. Nothing is booked until the deposit has been paid.

The remainder of your session & any travel fees are due before we depart on the day of our session. No images will be delivered until the final payment is made. The day of your session you will receive an email with your final invoice. My booking system is set up in a two part system: the deposit & the final payment.

Depending on where you want to have your photographs done, travel fees vary. There is no travel fee for locations within Sonoma County, California. With that in mind, clients are responsible for all private location fees or permit fees for their session. Travel fees for outside the surrounding counties are based on mileage.

I do not offer styling but I am always happy to hop on a mini 30-minute zoom call to help plan the session. If you are contacting me for a small wedding we will already plan at least one meeting to organize before the shoot date. If you are unsure of what to wear, go for the classics! Bring a fun coat! Don’t stress too much over an outfit choice, I have faith in your personal style!

If it rains/ weather is crazy/ there is a fire/ an act of God has occurred, we will put your deposit towards a reschedule. Or if it is just a night rain and you are feeling brave, we can make it work!

If you do not show up for your session, the deposit will not be refunded. If you need to reschedule your session, your deposit can be put towards a reschedule as long as I am notified within 14 days of your session. I get it, trust me, I know life happens. However, if you need to cancel and do not want to re-schedule, your deposit is not refunded.

Yes, of course! Bring whoever you can to cheer you on and make you more comfortable! With Covid I do ask you to let me know before hand so I can best prepare your session. Additionally, if you plan on featuring your cheerleader in your images, they must sign a model release at the same timeframe you book your session.

Yes!!!!!!!!!! 10000% yes! And please do! I am re-designing it currently, but I have a graduate poster board in my office, I would love to add your card to it! When you book your session with me you are booking a friendship, and I want to cheer you on and show off your accomplishments!

You will receive an email from me not later than three weeks after our session date with your final gallery in it. Your gallery is delivered via Shootproof which is where your gallery will live. Your gallery will be active for two weeks after the delivery date so it is crucial that you download ALL of your images and back them up. I recommend using cloud storage as well as a USB or hard drive to store them safely. I clean out my client files every 6 months (subject to change) and cannot guarantee that I will backup the images for you. I do not store the RAW files for more than 3 months. With your gallery you can order prints, forward them to your friends & family, and post them online!

No, part of my creative process is making the image selections. I choose the most flattering photographs and I promise you will love them! I do not deliver all the images taken as some of them repeats, blurry, out of focus, shots of you blinking or mid-sentence, or are goofy for any other reason. I have no reason to withhold any images, if there are extras that I think you would like I include them. They are gifts for you to enjoy! We are a team!

No. When you book your session with me your booking includes my editing skills as a part of the service. RAW or unedited files will not be released as they do not reflect my work.

If this is the case please let me know in your initial contact alongside the reason. The sole way I market myself as a photographer offering photography services is the internet. I do rely on sharing my photography to bring customers in (just like you!). Because of this, there is a fee if this is something you want waived. Please be thorough in your inquiry if this is the case.

No, any of the final files I deliver may be shared online.

Yes! I do. I stay up to date on all vaccines.

Some Other Things to Note Before You Book Your Session

  • Clients are responsible for their own Bart card, uber/lyft ride, transportation, gas, parking, and any other permits needed for the location chosen.
  • The client is also encouraged to bring props such as family treasured, flowers, brand related props, and is responsible for whatever props they would like in the images.
