Grad Session College Portrait: Aqsa

UC Davis has the best student nickname ever- Aggies!

Aggies stems from the word “agriculture”. Aggies was created in inspiration of the strong agricultural heritage at UC Davis. I think this is so cute and unique! If you think back to all of the schools you have attended, it is more often found that your student name is based off of the school’s mascot instead of the students themselves. In your grad session it is important to reflect not only on your success, but also where you are thriving. As a college grad myself, I have a fond memory of my alma mater’s mascot, the Lumberjack.

Aqsa is one of the amazing Class of 2021 Aggies!

I met Aqsa in February of 2021 and had the pleasure of photographing her on the gorgeous UCD campus in Davis, California. UC Davis has a bright and colorful campus with so much character! It is always a blessing to meet with kind students of UC Davis and walk the campus together. Aqsa brought her sister and boyfriend to her grad session. As I am based in Sonoma County, California, it is always exciting to be able to capture the special moment of graduation for an out of town grad such as UC Davis students. Graduation from college is an amazing accomplishment which is the perfect occasion to get portraits of yourself. Being a college grad is hard work, take a moment to celebrate all you have done! Graduation portraits are just one of the many ways to celebrate and enjoy the life you are living. Take a moment for you during the exciting time of graduation.
